Lake rules


anyone not adhering to the rules may be
asked to leave or banned from the fishery


anyone aged 12 years and over need to own a valid environment agency rod licence to fish at high flyer lake.

all anglers need their own landing net.

no fish to be taken from this fishery.

Absolutely no discarding of line or litter.

Barbless hooks only, maximum size 12.

fishing from fishery fixed swims only and no wading.

No use of fixed method or fixed lead rigs.

Do not leave rods unattended.

No floating/surface baits allowed i.e. dog biscuits, bread or boilies.

no floating pole.

No imitation baits of any kind.

No hair-rigs or baitbands on float set-ups.

Minimum 6" line from pole tip to float.

no fishing shallower than 12" deep.


no keepnets for pleasure fishing unless agreed by lake management.

No braided hooklengths.

no 'muppet' fishing - pole/rod with line only laying on bank till fish on.

groundbait limited to 1.5kg dry mix per session.

match rules - as above plus

no visitors to walk around the lake whilst a match is in progress.

only high flyer lake fishery supplied keepnets only

All Match Anglers must Start With 2 Keepnets.
One Net For All Fish Under 5lb, With a Limit of 60lb.
One Net For All Fish Over 5lb, With a 10 Fish limit.
Once You Have Reached the Net Limit, You Must Get Another Net.

any net weight above the set net limits may be omitted.

any hooked fish before the 'all out' have 10 minutes to land.

the lake management accept no responsibility for loss or damage to equipment or vehicles whilst on the premises. you have a duty of care to the fish, wildlife, others around you and to yourself. please take care.
